Day 1: Hanoi Arrival
Today, depart Australia for Hanoi – the Capital of Vietnam.Upon arrival to the airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel for check-in

Day 2: Hanoi
Halong Bay 
Today you will travel by coach through the rich farm land of the Red River Delta to arrive at Halong Bay. Designated a World Heritage site in 1994, Halong Bay’s spectacular scatter of islands, dotted with wind- and wave-eroded grottoes, is a vision of ethereal beauty. Upon arrival, you will board you ship to visit the thousands of limestone islands filled with caves of all shapes and sizes. The sails of junks and sampans gliding along the clear and emerald waters of the bay form a magnificent scene that blends into the sky. You will also have the opportunity to visit some of the hidden grottoes beneath the towering cliffs.

Day 3: Halong Bay
Hanoi
Awake early and participate in Tai Chi on the top deck or simply relax and enjoy the sunrise over the bay’s towering islands, a sight not to be missed! Enjoy a morning cup of coffee or tea, before setting out to explore nearby islands by rowboat. Return to the junk for breakfast then take advantage of the sundeck and admire the amazing rock formations of Halong Bay. Enjoy a light lunch before heading back to shore. Your driver will meet you at the Halong jetty then drive back to Hanoi in the afternoon.

Enjoy a walk around the Old Quarter in the afternoon and appreciate the local lifestyles as you wind through Hanoi’s streets. You will have a taste of Northern Vietnamese delicacies such as: Stuffed pancake, banh my, stuffed sticky rice balls, the unique egg coffee and many more.
Day 4: Hanoi City Tour
Flight to Danang – Hoi An
After breakfast, you will have a bustling day to visit a city tour of Hanoi and will explore attractions such as the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university, Ho Chi Minh Complex (Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, One Pillar Pagoda) and Tran Quoc Pagoda, one of the oldest pagodas in Vietnam. Later on, you will be transferred to the airport for the short flight to Danang.
Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the UNESCO World Heritage listed town of Hoi An. As an important trading route during the 15th to 19th centuries, Hoi An is now a unique blend of culture, cuisine and architecture. Step back in time as you wander the narrow streets of this charming former trading port, with its ancient covered bridges and temples.

The trip starts when our guide & car driver pick you up for the transfer. On arrival at the Ba Na mountain foot, we’ll travel by cable car up to the Marseille station. Get out and take a short walk to the Golden Bridge – a break point of the trip – to feel like walking on the clouds. Just newly opened to the public in early June 2018 the bridge which was built in the midst of the forest stands out in yellow. Noteworthy, this unique architecture with the bridge image supported by grey hands, creates a beautiful scenery surprised. Time for taking photos and enjoying the easy breeze, breathtaking view and afterwards, we’ll walk further to a romantic flower garden – Le Jardin D’Amour. The 9 gardens are 9 interesting stories in 9 unique architectural styles. These create a poetic and colourful space. Next, walk to visit Linh Ung Pagoda to admire its sophisticated architecture together with a 27m high Shakyamuni statue which brings us peaceful feeling as visiting this place. Finally, we’ll catch the cable car downhill and then transfer to Hoi An.

Day 06: : Hoi An Walking Tour – Danang
Flight to Ho Chi Minh City
In the morning, you will explore Hoi An on foot, visiting an old merchant’s home, Hoi An Market, a local Chinese temple and the Japanese Covered Bridge. The bridge was first constructed here in the 1590s by the Japanese community to link them with the Chinese quarters. Over the centuries the ornamentation has remained relatively faithful to the original Japanese design. The French flattened out the roadway for cars, but the original arched shape was restored in 1986.
After lunch, enjoy your free time until being transferred to Da Nang airport to fly to Saigon. On arrival at Saigon airport, you’ll be picked up by a guide and taken to check in hotel.

Day 07: Ho Chi Minh City
Cu Chi Tunnels
After breakfast, we continue on to Cu Chi Tunnels. During the Vietnam War, guerrilla fighters built a labyrinth of narrow tunnels, using them to hide in during bombing raids and to stage surprise attacks. Today, the remaining tunnels have become a major tourist attraction, giving visitors a unique understanding of what life was like during the Vietnam War. Afternoon you will have a half day tour of Ho Chi Minh City with highlights such as, Notre Dame Cathedral, Post Office (take photos outside), War Remnant Museum and soaking up the atmosphere at Ben Thanh market, one of Ho Chi Minh’s liveliest areas.

Day 8: Ho Chi Minh City – Optional tour to Mekong Delta

Embark on a cruise to Ben Tre river and visit brickwork, coconut processing workshop, a local village making sleep mattresses. Continue taking a motor cart (xe lôi) or cycling through the green rice fields and vegetable plains. Lunch is served at the restaurant riverside. In the afternoon, sail through water palm creek by rowboat and get back to Hung Vuong Pier for departing to Saigon.
Optional Dinner on Saigon River CruiseDinner on Saigon River Cruise offers an opportunity to witness another side of Saigon. The city is not only a bustling metropolis but also a romantic land. Hop on a huge wooden barge and sail down the river. Feel the gentle breeze caressing your skin and enjoy a lovely dinner accompanied by the traditional music and dance performances.
Day 09: Ho Chi Minh City
Siem Reap
Today you will take a flight to Siem Reap. Upon arrival to the airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore this vibrant city.

Angkor Temples
Spend a full day discovering the mystical Angkor temples. Your day starts with a visit to Angkor Wat, then we will visit the ancient Ta Prohm Monastery.
In the afternoon, visit Angkor Thom (the Great City) beginning by the south gate and the famous Bayon of the 12th and 13th centuries. Then, journey to the Elephant Terrace and the raised Leper King Terrace, built in the 12th century and which features many beautifully sculptured Apsaras.

Day 11: Siem Reap – Free Day
Today, you are free time at leisure to explore the mystery of Siem Reap or swimming at hotel.

You’ll be picked up at your hotel to start your Tonle Sap Lake tour which includes a visit to a floating village where you’ll enjoy watching seasonal activities of Cambodian agriculture and aquaculture. Tonle Sap Lake, or “Great Lake”, is a magnificent natural water wonder. During the high water level season (August – November), the lake expands to 2,600 square kilometers in size and becomes the biggest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia. Being rich and bio-diverse, the lake has been able supply the whole civilization floating on it, since ancient times.
Day 12: Siem Reap – Free Day
Today, you are free time at leisure to explore the mystery of Siem Reap or swimming at hotel.

Welcome to Bangkok, Thailand!
On arrival, you will be greeted by tour guide at Suvarnabhumi Airport and taken to your hotel for check in.

Explore the dazzling Grand Palace consisted of several great architectures, well-preserved over many dynasties in the past. Also, visit Wat Phra Kaew, Bangkok’s most sacred temple, where the world’s most precious Emerald Buddha located.

Ayutthaya
Phitsanulok
Today, visit the former capital Ayutthaya, a historic city awarded UNESCO World Heritage status for the splendor of its archaeological ruins and temples. Contemplate the ruins of this once vast island city including Wat Yai Chaimongkhon, Wat Phanan Choeng and Wat Mahathat. Hop on a traditional long tail boat and observe the city’s ruins from a different perspective. After lunch, check-in to your hotel in Phitsanulok.

Day 15: Phitsanulok
Lampang
Chiang Mai
After breakfast, leave from hotel, made a quick break at Wat Mahathat in Phitsanulok and visit the magnificent Phra Buddha Chinnarat. Then head to Lampang by minivan or bus to visit Wat Phra That Lampang Luang. Climb the staircase to admire the bronze Buddha statue. Have lunch before travelling to Chiang Mai for check-in to your hotel.

Day 16: Chiangmai City Tour
After breakfast, you visit Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, one of northern Thailand’s most sacred temples located at the top of a mountain. To reach the temple, you’ll have to climb up a 309-step staircase (or simply use cable car – included). Later on, there’s some fun shopping at San Kamphaeng Road, a 10km-long road selling lots of local goods such as pottery, silverware, lacquer ware, handmade paper, sculptures, jewellery, wood carvings and silk products. You can also watch the artisans at work. After lunch in a local restaurant, we return to your hotel and you may spend the remainder of the day at your leisure.

Day 17: Chiang Mai
Lamphun
Sukhothai
Depart Chiang Mai for Lamphun. On arrival, you’ll visit the magnificent, one-thousand-year-old Wat Phra That Hariphunchai Temple to see the Buddha statues and impressive stupas, which include 46-metretall Lanna-style golden chedi and the 21-metre-tall Haripunchai-style chedi. We continue our trip to the south and visit Sukhothai Historical Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site which contains the ruins of the ancient capital of the Sukhothai Kingdom founded in the 13th century.

Lopburi
Bangkok
Depart for Lopburi after breakfast for a visit to Phra Pang Sam Yot, the ruins of the ancient Khmer temple, and the adjacent Brahman shrine San Phra Kan, which is known as the ‘Monkey Temple’. Have lunch in a local restaurant before continuing to Bangkok for check-in at your hotel.

How to book and Payments
Asia Vacation Group offers you a “Instalment Payment Plan” by 3 steps, you will be required to settle a small deposit followed by a series of instalments when you select to book your departure tour
- Step 1: You will be required to settle $100 per person deposit online through our website link.
- Step 2: You will be required to settle second payment at $1700 per person with after 7 days.
- Step 3: Final payment will be collected at 120 days before your travel and you will only pay when you receive our company invoice.
Flexible Cancellation
If you change your mind within 7 days of making your booking online, you can request a refund of your initial deposit payment. Once your purchase date falls outside of the 7-day period, our standard terms and conditions will apply.

Flight Information
This package includes international flights from Sydney/Melbourne and surcharge from Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth or other city if requested when selecting your departure city.

In this packages, we will use some different airlines such as: Vietnam Airlines, Bamboo Airways, Vietjet or similar (20/23kg for checked baggage per passenger and 7kg hand luggage per passenger, 01-piece check-in baggage).
- Some flights will require a minimum of 1 transit (maximum 2).
- All tickets will include 23 kilos checked baggage per person, along with 7 kilos of hand luggage.
- Despite the airlines baggage allowance, we recommend travelling with 20 kilos per person due to restrictions with internal flights (where applicable), as well as coach and train transportation. Also, you will be responsible for handling your luggage at all times as the services of porters is not included. If travelling over this amount, you will be liable for any excess baggage fees enforced by the airline, payable direct.
- Once ticketed, flights are non-refundable. Any changes will be subject to the airline rules, Airline change fees and an Asia Vacation Group change fee of $250 per person.
- Full names as per passport (including all middle names) are required. Any error in the names submitted will be subject to an Asia Vacation Group name change fee of $150 plus any applicable fees charged by the airline, or the ticket may be non-refundable with the purchase of a new ticket required.
- Any airline schedule changes or cancellations are beyond our control. It is important that you, as the customer, stay up-to-date with the latest airline schedule information prior to your departure. If a schedule change results in extended transits or an earlier/later departure from your destination, any additional accommodation or alternative arrangements will be at the traveler’s expense.
- Any airline ‘extras’ such as pre-allocated seating is at your own arrangement (additional charges apply)
- After booking, the price payable may be subject to change as a result of factors beyond the control of Asia Vacation Group. Asia Vacation Group reserves the right to increase the price payable and this will be reflected on the customer’s invoice. Increases may be in relation to, but not limited to, currency fluctuations, airline taxes, airfare increases and fuel surcharges.
- Internal airfares (where applicable and included in the itinerary) will be using a local carrier and may include low-cost carriers without meals or entertainment. Checked baggage will still be included for each passenger. Any additional baggage required is payable at time of check-in.
- If you are travelling with another party on a separate booking, we cannot guarantee that the same flights will be booked for all parties, as this strictly depends on availability.
- You will be responsible for handling your luggage at all times as the services of porters are not included. If travelling over the recommended amount, you will be liable for any excess baggage fees enforced by the airline, payable directly.
- In the event of that you no-show on your scheduled flight, please be aware the airline will require you to pay a no show fee, Airline reissue fee plus any additional airfare and taxes. Asia Vacation Group will also charge a $250 admin fee to assist re accommodating you on the next available flight. Please note that depending on the airline’s policy, purchasing a new ticket may be required.

We understand customers may wish to request changes to their included airfares. If you wish to fly with a certain airline, land at a certain time or change your flight in other ways we will gladly provide you with a personalized quote tailored to your specific requirements.

Cabin Preferences – These include upgrading to premium economy or business class
Extensions (start and end cities must remain the same) – You may request to extend your stay pre or post tour.

Seat Requests – If you would like to request particular seating. However please note, not all airlines allow the selection of pre-purchased seat arrangements.
Important Information
COVID-19
Due to COVID there maybe disruptions to standard operating schedules of particular components of this itinerary. Should a component be effected a substitute will be confirmed prior to departure.
Physical Requirements
A reasonable level of fitness is required but it’s more about spending time on your feet rather than covering large distances. You’ll be getting on and off coaches and boats, walking around the sights and climbing some steps.
Tipping
A friendly reminder that tipping is not included in your package. Please be advised that tipping for tour guides, drivers and bellmen are required and will be collected by your travel consultant 7 days before you depart. A gratuity of 10AUD per person/day can make a big difference to locals employed in the tourism industry as they have done an impeccable job to serve you through your holiday.

Visa & Passport information
It is the traveler’s responsibility to ensure they have a valid passport. The passport must be valid for a minimum of six months from the intended date of return and must have more than 2 blank pages.
A visa is required for travel to Vietnam and Cambodia. The visa is easiest to complete with Asia Vacation Group and just need to pay $160 for single entry for Vietnam and $130 for single entry for Cambodia.

Final documentation, including e-tickets and hotel details, will be provided approximately 30 days prior to travel.
Children
Children must be 2 years old or over and share a room with parents at all times. Children are the same price as adults.
