Tasmania will open its borders to NSW residents without quarantining
Oct 28, 2020
Tasmania will open its borders to people from New South Wales without mandatory COVID-19 quarantine from next Friday. Premier Peter Gutwein today announced NSW would be reclassified as a “low-risk” area next week. Previously people coming in from NSW had to quarantine for two weeks before they were allowed into Tasmania. Tasmania’s holiday destinations will soon be open once again to people from NSW.

When being at the top of Mount Wellington, you’ll find fantastic boardwalks at various points of the summit which take you to beautiful vantage points around the pinnacle.
The announcement came as NSW recorded 12 new cases of coronavirus today, with 10 in hotel quarantine. NSW Health said the two local cases are household contacts of people linked to the Oran Park cluster and have been in isolation.
