Day 1: Hanoi Arrival.
Today, depart Australia for Hanoi – the Capital of Vietnam.
Upon arrival to the airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel for check-in

Day 2: Hanoi City tour – Halong.
After breakfast, you will have a bustling day to visit a city tour of Hanoi and will explore attractions such as the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university, Ho Chi Minh Complex (Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, One Pillar Pagoda) and Tran Quoc Pagoda, one of the oldest pagodas in Vietnam. Following that, you will go to AVG Food & Beverage, one of Asia Vacation Group’s stores. You will learn about the various types of beef imported from Australia and how to be sold to Vietnamese customers here. Enjoy a free soft drink/beer or wine tasting when you visit. In the afternoon, leave the bustle of the big city and drive to Halong Bay.
On arrive in Tuan Chau Island, check in your hotel and free time at leisure or you might buy an optional tour such as Dinner on Halong Bay Cruise Tour.

Day 3: Halong Bay Cruise – Hanoi.
Today enjoy a day cruise on Halong Bay: a UNESCO World Heritage Site and natural wonderland composed of jutting limestone islands and sparkling turquoise waters, located in the Gulf of Tonkin. After breakfast at the hotel, drive to the Halong harbor to board your private junk cruise for a 4-hour journey. Cruise along the calm waters, between looming, limestone outcrops to visit Dau Go Cave, where, in 1288, one of Vietnam’s most famous generals, Tran Hung Dao, stored hundreds of stakes before battling the invading Mongolian army. A short walk away, visit the newly discovered Thien Cung, famous for its stalagmites and stalactites. Savor a fresh seafood lunch, served on board before sailing back to Tuan Chau harbour, where your transport will be waiting to take you back to Hanoi.
In this evening, you are free time at leisure or you book a Street Tour optional with us.

Enjoy a walk around the Old Quarter in the afternoon and appreciate the local lifestyles as you wind through Hanoi’s streets. You will have a taste of Northern Vietnamese delicacies such as: Stuffed pancake, banh my, stuffed sticky rice balls, the unique egg coffee and many more.
Day 4: Hanoi – Flight to Danang – Hoi An.
Enjoy your free time in the morning before you will leave Hanoi for flight to Danang.
Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the UNESCO World Heritage listed town of Hoi An. In the late afternoon, you will explore Hoi An on foot, visiting an old merchant’s home, Hoi An Market, a local Chinese temple and the Japanese Covered Bridge. The bridge was first constructed here in the 1590s by the Japanese community to link them with the Chinese quarters. Over the centuries the ornamentation has remained relatively faithful to the original Japanese design. The French flattened out the roadway for cars, but the original arched shape was restored in 1986.

Day 05: Hoi An.
Today you can enjoy a day of leisure to explore Hoi An or join our optional tours to Golden Bridge in Ba Na Hills.

The trip starts when our guide & car driver pick you up for the transfer. On arrival at the Ba Na mountain foot, we’ll travel by cable car up to the Marseille station. Get out and take a short walk to the Golden Bridge – a break point of the trip – to feel like walking on the clouds. Just newly opened to the public in early June 2018 the bridge which was built in the midst of the forest stands out in yellow. Noteworthy, this unique architecture with the bridge image supported by grey hands, creates a beautiful scenery surprised. Time for taking photos and enjoying the easy breeze, breathtaking view and afterwards, we’ll walk further to a romantic flower garden – Le Jardin D’Amour. The 9 gardens are 9 interesting stories in 9 unique architectural styles. These create a poetic and colourful space. Next, walk to visit Linh Ung Pagoda to admire its sophisticated architecture together with a 27m high Shakyamuni statue which brings us peaceful feeling as visiting this place. Finally, we’ll catch the cable car downhill and then transfer to Hoi An.
Optional My Son Sanctuary and Thanh Ha Village TourMy Son sanctuary, a great sample of ancient Champa civilization situated in the southern region of Vietnam. Stand astounded by a great number of exquisite stone sculptures, temples and towers nestled in a tropical jungle.
Optional Hoi An Memories ShowFeaturing 500 performers with superb choreography, this open-air theatrical extravaganza tells a story about the quintessence of Hoi An throughout 400 years of history while shining the spotlight on Ao Dai and the hidden charming beauty of Vietnamese women.
Day 06: Hoi An – Flight to Ho Chi Minh City.
After breakfast, you will have your free time before transferred to the airport for the flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, enjoy an orientation tour through Ho Chi Minh City’s bustling streets en route to the hotel. Have lunch at your own and visit the War Remnants Museum, learn about Vietnam’s recent history at Reunification Palace, visit the nearby neo-Romanesque Notre Dame Cathedral and the City’s Centre Post Office before passing by the ornate Opera Theatre and the City Hall. Finally, end up at the Ben Thanh Market, where vendors display a vast array of goods and handicrafts, appealing to every taste.

Dinner on Saigon River Cruise offers an opportunity to witness another side of Saigon. The city is not only a bustling metropolis but also a romantic land. Hop on a huge wooden barge and sail down the river. Feel the gentle breeze caressing your skin and enjoy a lovely dinner accompanied by the traditional music and dance performances.
Day 07: Ho Chi Minh City – Mekong Delta – Chau Doc.
Today you leave Ho Chi Minh City and travel to the Mekong River Delta. Enjoy an early breakfast at the hotel before driving to the riverside town, Cai Be. Along the way, stop at a candy factory and orchard garden, where you have an opportunity to listen to traditional music. Enjoy a relaxing lunch at a riverside restaurant, then cross the Mekong’s calm waters on a rustic row boat to visit an island in the middle of the river delta. Spend time exploring the small islands and rural way of life. Your driver will be waiting for you on the other side of the river to take you to Chau Doc – a small town near border of Cambodia. Check in at your hotel then spend the late afternoon on an orientation walk around the small town.

Day 08: Chau Doc – Speedboat to Phnom Penh.
After breakfast, check-out the hotel then travel by speedboat up the Mekong to Cambodia’s capital: Phnom Penh. The total trip takes about four and a half hours (including visa formalities). Visas are easily obtained at the border between Vietnam and Cambodia and cost (including the processing fee).
Your guide will meet you at the dock in Phnom Penh and take you to the hotel. Despite its recent turbulent history, Phnom Penh’s wide tree-lined boulevards and faded colonial mansions hold an undeniable charm. After lunch at a downtown restaurant, visit the Tuol Sleng Prison Museum and Central market. Check in your hotel and overnight in Phnom Penh.

Day 09: Phnom Penh – Royal Palace – Drive to Siem Reap
After breakfast, take a leisurely tour to visit the Royal Palace – home to the royal family, and Silver Pagoda. Then your driver will transfer you to Siem Reap by bus. You will take 6-hour drive to Siem Reap – the gateway into the ancient Angkor temples
Arrive in Siem Reap, check in your hotel and overnight at hotel.

Day 10: Siem Reap – Angkor Temples.
Spend a full day discovering the mystical Angkor temples. Your day starts with a visit to Angkor Wat, then we will visit the ancient Ta Prohm Monastery.
In the afternoon, visit Angkor Thom (the Great City) beginning by the south gate and the famous Bayon of the 12th and 13th centuries. Then, journey to the Elephant Terrace and the raised Leper King Terrace, built in the 12th century and which features many beautifully sculptured Apsaras.

You’ll be picked up at your hotel to start your Tonle Sap Lake tour which includes a visit to a floating village where you’ll enjoy watching seasonal activities of Cambodian agriculture and aquaculture. Tonle Sap Lake, or “Great Lake”, is a magnificent natural water wonder. During the high water level season (August – November), the lake expands to 2,600 square kilometers in size and becomes the biggest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia. Being rich and bio-diverse, the lake has been able supply the whole civilization floating on it, since ancient times.
Day 13: Home Arrival.

How to book and Payments
Full Payment will be required at the time booking is made. However, you will have 7-day cooling off period. Please refer to “Flexible Cancellation” section.
Flexible Cancellation
If you change your mind within 7 days of making your booking online, you can request a refund of your initial deposit payment. Once your purchase date falls outside of the 7-day period, our standard terms and conditions will apply.

Flight Information
This package includes international flights from Sydney/Melbourne and surcharge from Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth or other city if requested when selecting your departure city.
Interstate Surcharge
Surcharge of $400 for departures from Adelaide & Brisbane & and $500 for departures from Perth
In this packages, we will use some different airlines such as: Vietnam Airlines, Bamboo Airways, Vietjet or similar (20/23kg for checked baggage per passenger and 7kg hand luggage per passenger, 01-piece check-in baggage).
- Some flights will require a minimum of 1 transit (maximum 2).
- All tickets will include 20 kilos checked baggage per person, along with 7 kilos of hand luggage.
- Despite the airlines baggage allowance, we recommend travelling with 20 kilos per person due to restrictions with internal flights (where applicable), as well as coach and train transportation. Also, you will be responsible for handling your luggage at all times as the services of porters is not included. If travelling over this amount, you will be liable for any excess baggage fees enforced by the airline, payable direct.
- Once ticketed, flights are non-refundable. Any changes will be subject to the airline rules, Airline change fees and an Asia Vacation Group change fee of $250 per person.
- Full names as per passport (including all middle names) are required. Any error in the names submitted will be subject to an Asia Vacation Group name change fee of $150 plus any applicable fees charged by the airline, or the ticket may be non-refundable with the purchase of a new ticket required.
- Any airline schedule changes or cancellations are beyond our control. It is important that you, as the customer, stay up-to-date with the latest airline schedule information prior to your departure. If a schedule change results in extended transits or an earlier/later departure from your destination, any additional accommodation or alternative arrangements will be at the traveler’s expense.
- Any airline ‘extras’ such as pre-allocated seating is at your own arrangement (additional charges apply)
- After booking, the price payable may be subject to change as a result of factors beyond the control of Asia Vacation Group. Asia Vacation Group reserves the right to increase the price payable and this will be reflected on the customer’s invoice. Increases may be in relation to, but not limited to, currency fluctuations, airline taxes, airfare increases and fuel surcharges.
- Internal airfares (where applicable and included in the itinerary) will be using a local carrier and may include low-cost carriers without meals or entertainment. Checked baggage will still be included for each passenger. Any additional baggage required is payable at time of check-in.
- If you are travelling with another party on a separate booking, we cannot guarantee that the same flights will be booked for all parties, as this strictly depends on availability.
- You will be responsible for handling your luggage at all times as the services of porters are not included. If travelling over the recommended amount, you will be liable for any excess baggage fees enforced by the airline, payable directly.
- In the event of that you no-show on your scheduled flight, please be aware the airline will require you to pay a no show fee, Airline reissue fee plus any additional airfare and taxes. Asia Vacation Group will also charge a $250 admin fee to assist re accommodating you on the next available flight. Please note that depending on the airline’s policy, purchasing a new ticket may be required.

We understand customers may wish to request changes to their included airfares. If you wish to fly with a certain airline, land at a certain time or change your flight in other ways we will gladly provide you with a personalized quote tailored to your specific requirements.

Cabin Preferences – These include upgrading to premium economy or business class
Extensions (start and end cities must remain the same) – You may request to extend your stay pre or post tour.

Seat Requests – If you would like to request particular seating. However please note, not all airlines allow the selection of pre-purchased seat arrangements.
Important Information
COVID-19
Due to COVID there maybe disruptions to standard operating schedules of particular components of this itinerary. Should a component be effected a substitute will be confirmed prior to departure.
Physical Requirements
A reasonable level of fitness is required but it’s more about spending time on your feet rather than covering large distances. You’ll be getting on and off coaches and boats, walking around the sights and climbing some steps.
Tipping
A friendly reminder that tipping is not included in your package. Tipping is AU$10/person per day. Tipping is collected by agent before travelling or the day of your arrival.

Visa & Passport information
It is the traveler’s responsibility to ensure they have a valid passport. The passport must be valid for a minimum of six months from the intended date of return and must have more than 2 blank pages.
A visa is required for travel to Vietnam and Cambodia. The visa is easiest to complete with Asia Vacation Group and just need to pay $160 for single entry for Vietnam and $130 for single entry for Cambodia.
Children
Children must be 5 years old or above and share a room with parents at all times. Children are charged the same price as adults.
Tour Documentation
Final documentation, including e-tickets and hotel details, will be provided approximately 30 days prior to travel.
