Day 2: Bangkok City Tour
Today you have a half day to the Royal Grand Palace and explore the dazzling Grand Palace consisted of several great architectures, well-preserved over many dynasties in the past. Also, visit Wat Phra Kaew, Bangkok’s most sacred temple, where the world’s most precious Emerald Buddha located.

Day 5: Golden Triangle
Wat Rong Kun – Karen Long Neck Village
After breakfast, you will transfer to the Golden Triangle where the three borders of Laos – Myanmar – Thailand meet. In the past, the Chinese used this route for delivering opium to Siam (Thailand) until they later spread the trade to many other countries as well. We will take a trip on a ‘long-tail’, a traditional Thai boat, on the Mekong river, with the chance to make a stop on the border with Laos, from where you can send a commemorative postcard. After this, we will visit the Hall of Opium, where you can study how opium was delivered commercially in the old days.
After lunch, you will visit Wat Rong Kun (called White Temple), a Buddhist temple in a contemporary style that makes it different from any other in Thailand. Decorated in white, the Buddhist symbol of purity, the temple is adorned with crystals that refer to Buddha’s wisdom as “The light that shines throughout the world and the universe.
Right after a visit to the peculiar White Temple of Chiang Rai, there was a quick stop to northern Thailand’s Karen Long Neck Hilltribe, who is known for boasting spiral brass coils around their necks. Visiting Karen Long Neck villages in Thailand will be one of the most exotic experiences on the planet. The mystery and beauty that sound the tradition of using brass rings for exaggerated jewellery is something better seen in person than in a book. The tribes wear unique outfits and produce handmade crafts which visitors can buy as keepsake items. Afterwards, relax on the way back to the hotel.
Then we return to the hotel where you are free at leisure.

Day 7: Chiang Mai Tour
After breakfast, you will visit Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, one of northern Thailand’s most sacred temples located at the top of a mountain. To reach the temple, you are required to climb up a 309-step staircase or simply use cable car (included). Later on, you will have fun shopping at the heaven San Kamphaeng Road, a 10km-long road selling full of local goods such as pottery, silverware, lacquerware, handmade paper, sculptures, jewel, wood carvings and silk products. You can also watch the artisans at work. After lunch in a local restaurant, return to your hotel and spend the remainder of the day at your leisure.

Day 8: Chiang Mai Free Day

You have a chance to learn about Thai’s elephant including how they live and how to take care of them daily. Get hands-on experience on feeding, health checking, walking the elephants as well as making vitamin balls and observing the elephant getting mud spa and bathing. Arriving early/Extending your trip: From $200 per person is applied for trip extension or early arrivals (subject to availability and applicable fare difference). If you wish to extend your trip, please note in your Booking Form then we will provide quotations for you. The fee above is just administrative only, no service included.

Tipping
A friendly reminder that tipping is not included in your package. Please be advised that tipping for tour guides, drivers and bellmen are required and will be collected by your travel consultant 7 days before you depart. A gratuity of 10AUD per person/day can make a big difference to locals employed in the tourism industry as they have done an impeccable job to serve you through your holiday.
